This first one came out a bit darker than I had hoped because I used the box rather than another scarf, but i like how it makes the whole thing more of an object and less of a scene.
I had been thinking about how in class I was asked if these were self-portraits, and I guess they are in a way. These are the sort of items I have lying around that I don't use often, but I know that without them, my space wouldn't be mine.
This one is my personal favourite. The colours, the placement, and especially that big clump of fraying fabric in the top left corner.

Scanner-art
My interests in Hinduism and Eastern-spirituality led me towards creating this series of religious icons. The manner in which the dark background intensifies the objects creates a dramatic ambiance that I hope to further develop this semester. Now that I know the power of scanography, I want to continue portraying objects vividly and enhancing them through photoshop.
Death of Flower
I originally thought I would use items that I personally use everyday. One night when I was half asleep, I thought that a rose would look beautiful against a black back ground. I did not want to just use a rose and be done with it, I wanted to show that a flower that is dying or dead is just as beautiful as a fully live flower. I decided that love is very similar to a dying rose. It feels as if you lose life as your love dies.

Derick's Scanography
This is my first piece. I randomly place these tools which were on my desk on the scanner to make this piece.
For my second piece. I subtracted some of the tools and added some other tools which I use on a daily basis to change the image.
For the third piece, I decided to place all of the tools on the scanner at random to show them. The pieces seemed to come out very good.
After I scanned the picecs, I edited them to get the dust off the pieces.
Shelly's Scanography Pictures
The pictures are from my Scanography assignment. In this assignment, I used objects that meant things to me personally, such as things I like to use, things that are important to me, and things I like to collect. I focused on colors, contrast and brightness in all my pictures because that is my style that I like to work in for Photography and such. Anyways, that's my scanography pictures :'D
