These are juxtapositions of images from priviledged and underpriviledged societies, in order to underscore the divide that exists in the world today. Those who are priviledged starve themselves by choice (Victoria Beckham is holding a mock burger in order to refute claims of anorexia), and are able to kill what they want when they want to. 
This next image begs the question: why would the people have so much stuff if they were starving. The answer is: they wouldn't. But WE have so much stuff when people are starving in the world... we just don't see them next to our hummers.
This was inspired by people who travel to foreign countries, and instead of volunteering they just have photo shoots of themselves next to the indigenous, hard working villagers. It makes me want to puke.
